SF City Guides tour: Chinatown, tour guide Ron Mulbrew

Really excited about my first SF City Guides tour. Needed to get up early, to be able to leave the house by 5:45.

First pics walking to the Winchester Light Rail Station, and waiting for the train.

I captioned the second picture, "Promise of new morning and bright beginnings ..."

Hectic start to the day. Got to the light rail station really early, about 6:10. The train didn’t come at 6:24 as expected. It didn’t show up until about 6:35. There was some problem with the train. I talked to the conductor, and explained that I needed to be at Diridon by 7:00 to catch my connection. He came on the intercom at about Fruitdale, saying that we would make it by 7:00. As I got off the light rail, I waved to him as I walked by. He was looking for me. I caught the 7:00 train with 10 minutes to spare. It was docked on Track 4.

The rest of the day was fun, and an adventure. Liked the tour guide, Ron Mulgrew.

Got off the Muni #30 line at the end of the line, Chestnut St & Divisadero St. Walked a couple of blocks and found "Chestnut Street Coffee Roastery". Had a lot of fun hanging out in this old style coffee shop. This is a Google Maps terrain view of the block the coffee shop is on.Was a great ending for a great day!

Last stop of the #30 Muni line. Intersection of Chestnut St & Divisadero St.
